Just signed up with podcastpickle

I just added a link to my page at podcastpickle.com. I had to do some html coding in order to get the link I wanted and to make it work, lets hope the link for the pickle page is one that will update as this page updates. (Sorry may not make sense.)

So check out podcastpickle.com. It has it's own built in player, so it's easy to listen to and a great resource for those who want an easy one stop shop to listen or publish your own podcast.

Now on iTunes

I am now on itunes. Just go to itunes podcasts and search for RisePod. Keep an eye open for me in some other podcast directories such as podcast alley and podcast pickle. Coming soon is an interview with a missionary to Africa, some format changes such as "food for though" and interview with founder and president of Bottom Line Financial Services, and hopefully some great music by upcoming musicians.

Inteview with Henrys about the Congo

Just added a wonderful interview with a couple who work in the Congo. It is really an eye opener on the culture, and how things work there in the Congo.

Timothy and Sharon Henry work with International Outreach Ministries. Timothy is an eye doctor and Sharon leads Bible studies in the community where they live in the Congo. Give a listen and if you want to help or have questions you can contact the Henrys through there parent organization:

Interview with Joe Bogan about Mexico

(If you want to hear the podcast, click on the title above.)

Well it's been a long and grueling process but, it's finally here. I have now successfully created an RSS feed to this page and provided a link to my first interview. All of this from a guy who is about as computer illiterate as they come. Man, I have learned so much techie stuff in the last few weeks. Well enjoy the podcast.

P.S. I will be adding music from up and coming artists to the show in the near future.

Ciao for now,

Rss feed work.

I am right now in the midst of working out the RSS feed so that the podcasts will be downloadable. I am also in the works of learning about post production, filters, and such so that sound quality will be better. Please forgive the first few podcasts, as I knew nothing about post producing sound quality.

Podcast with Congo Missionaries

Just wanted to let everyone know that I did an interview with some missionaries to the Congo today. I should have the Podcast on the website with in the next few days. Keep your eyes and ears opened for it. Also wanted to let you know that I eventually would like to also highlight Christian musicians on the program. I will be talking to some people about that very soon.

Sick Missionary needs Prayer

Everyone I just wanted to make you aware of a special need. Here is the need directly from the missionary herself.

Dear Ministry Partners,

I wanted to send a special request out to you. I have been diagnosed with Typhoid. I've been battling it for about a week now. The first few days were horrid and then a couple of days ago I felt as if I was well enough to get back to work, only to be knocked back down again the next day, feeling as I had before. Yesterday, I didn't have the strength to sit here at the computer and write to you. Thank God that I at least have some strength today. It has been frustrating not to be able to work. I have lost 16 lbs already but praise God that I have not been dehydrated. Please pray that God would continue to heal my body, kill the bacteria that is causing this whole mess, and get me back to work!

Thank you for always prayerfully supporting us here in Durango. I'll have exciting things to tell in my newsletter next week!

Your fellow servant in Christ,

RisePod website up and running

Well, I just got www.risepod.com up and running. There is still a few quarks to work out. I know there is only one podcast on the site, but you have to start somewhere, and I have 3 potential interviews alone next week. I am still working on setting up rss feeds to the podcasts. So for now everyone will just have to listen from my site. Things are looking bright for the future.

Ciao y'all
